TESTIMONIALS
What Our Students Say

“The course is practical, easy to follow, prompts reflection and opens the door to allow one’s creative juices to flow. For me, this has been by far the most beneficial course I have completed. It has complimented my four years of studying counselling and psychotherapy by weaving together all that is pertinent to fertility counselling and adding the extra elements of hypnosis and guided visualisations”.

Angela Walsh
Fertility Counsellor and Reiki Practitioner Limerick, Ireland

“It was one of the most well thought-out and laid-out courses I have ever been on. This was my first taste of an online course and I found it very easy and intuitive to use. Each module was well constructed and was able to be done in bite sized chunks which suited my study time perfectly. I enjoyed the course so much, I really didn’t want it to end.“

Who is the course for?
The training is aimed at hypnotherapists, counsellors and nlp practitioner’s, it is open to those who are familiar in working with guided visualisation. For example the programme is open to practitioners qualified in other modalities such as acupuncturists, coaching, fertility massage therapist, hypnobirthing practitioner, reiki practitioner, reflexologist and nutritionists. The FBM training does not qualify you to practice as a hypnotherapist or counsellor. However, many of the principles and practices of the FBM can be applied in other ways. For example you can integrate them into your existing reflexology practice. The course will give you deeper insight into the mental and emotional factors that affect fertility as well as simple self help tools you can teach clients for managing the negative effects of infertility. It does not include nutrition. Once you have completed the course you will be able to promote yourself as a qualified The Fertile Body Therapist, specifying that you apply these tools and techniques within your reflexology practice, for example. You will also be listed on the Therapist Register where your professional qualifications are named (i.e. coaching, fertility massage, hypnobirthing, reiki, reflexology) so that members of the public are aware of the modality that you work in. Should you wish to use the Fertile Body Method as a stand alone talking modality you would need a coaching qualification or counselling or something similar so that you can be insured as such.
What assessments are they?
There are no examinations or marked assignments. All course questions and tasks are for revision and self reflection. To qualify you have to answer all the reflective questions, do the practical assignment, and attend an one to one. You can get feedback on your reflective questions during your one to one.
What skills are needed to do the course?
The Fertile Body Method is a mind-body approach to fertility. To get the most out of the course you will need to have a background in psychological approaches (counselling, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP etc) and be confident in working with guided visualisation. Therapists who work with fertility problems using other disciplines (such as acupuncture, reflexology, herbs etc) can attend the training to learn more about the psychological and emotional aspects of fertility and to integrate some of the concepts and tools into their practice. But this course does not qualify you to practice as a hypnotherapist, counsellor or psychotherapist. A good understanding of English, writing, reading and speaking is a pre-requisite.
Is there a possibility of attending the course face to face?
At the moment there are no plans to offer face to face training and everything will be delivered online.
What support will you offer me to market myself?
The Fertile Body Therapist Register is a free referral network that is marketed and promoted online and recommended by an increasing number of satisfied clients. To help you further market yourself I have created the Resources for Therapists area on the website which you will have access to. You will be able to download Fertile Body Therapist business cards, postcards, adverts, logos and flyers. You can customise these templates to suit your own needs.
